Above-After Capitol Reef we headed south past the Henry Mountains toward Natural Bridges National Monument.
On the way one descends to the Glen Canyon which is the upper section of Lake Powell.
Above-The lake is now all but dried up in these upper reaches.
Natural Bridges National Monument…is not a well visited site somewhat and off the beaten track-though what is NOT off the track in the southwest !
One descends through a series of rock shelves with the help of ladders in places.
Although beautiful at the top overlooks it is best experienced by going down to the seldom visited canyon floor.
