Anyone reading this blog knows I look at most things as I go along with my camera. What intrigues me are the accidental abstracts I see on the crumbling walls of old haciendas or just ordinary houses. Layers of the exterior eroding over time into exquisite little abstractions. The graffiti of time.
I am using these photographs that I have accumulated over the years as the basis of a new series of dye transfer prints which can be printed in almost any size on paper or on canvas or on aluminium- even on ceramic tile. This is a complete break from my previous artistic direction and for the time being is what I am choosing to concentrate on in my new living situation.
If you compare the above image with the starting headline image you will see the basic photo that that I took walking down the street. Many walk by.
