DEATH VALLEY

Above-In March driving down the eastern edge of the Sierras there is still much snow. Mono Lake area.

Owens Valley on the way in from the west.

Dropping down into Panamint Valley from the west.

Stovepipe Wells sand dunes.

 

Above- Badwater Basin the lowest point in the U.S. at 282 feet below sea level.

Hiking in side canyons.

Above and below-Artists Drive where the colours of the mineralized rock are really this colorfull.

Above- The campground at Furnace Creek with some shade. It was at about 100 F every day. Nearby though was an oasis with swimming pool.

Above and below- Titus Canyon Road a winding gravel road through red rock.

Aptly named Red Pass on the Titus Canyon road.
