CHIAPAS 6

February 16, 2023 by admin

Chiapas is one of Mexico’s main handcraft producers, with most artisans being indigenous women, who dominate the production of pottery and textiles. One reason this State is so prominent is the wide variety of raw materials such as minerals, wood and various clays.

Zincantan a short distance from San Cristobal, is such a village dedicated to fine textiles.
