Our local neighborhood was close to the Three Museums but away from most of the tourism crowds.

It was the Quatro de Letras or Writers area. We were on Cervantes Street and his house was nearby.

Mostly quiet streets with many small boutique businesses.

 

 

Above and below our favorite restaurants.

 

The building- the Villa Rosa hosts Flamenco dancing and is very lush inside.

 

Tapas Bars are everywhere and have a lot of character. Popular in the early evening onwards for small bites and wine and beer.

The prices were very reasonable. Three Euros for a glass of excellent wine. Seven for mixed drinks. 

 

 

This below is a very old  pharmacy
