BASILICA MARIA SANTA MAGGIORE
The Basilica of Saint Mary Major is one of the Seven Pilgrim Churches of Rome. The largest Marian church in Rome, it is regarded as the first Marian sanctuary and the mother of all Marian shrines. The shrine is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin.
The design of the church is very Roman in having a long nave with columns with side aisles and a curved nave.
In 2025 Pope Francis was buried very simply at the basilica in a side nave
Saint Agnes- Rome has four Basilicas . It also has dozens of spectacular churches

In Rome 1 I portrayed the Pantheon as a Roman artifact but it was also a christian church.
